Divan Ottoman Bed
Suitable for every size, both headboard styles and the optional footboard.
Seven steps, roughly 30 minutes with two people.

Before you start
- Unpack all components and check them against your order confirmation.
- Assembly is easier with two people.
- Protect your flooring with a blanket or the original packaging while you work.
- The base has solid wooden sides and a reinforced slatted top, so avoid dragging it across hard flooring.
Tools you will need
For the headboard bolts and screws.
For the gas lift strut nuts.
Step-by-step assembly
Attach the legs
Turn each base section upside down. Tap the leg fixings into the marked positions at each corner, then screw the legs securely into place. Once all legs are fitted, stand the section upright.
Join the base sections
DOUBLE, KING & SUPER KING ONLYPosition the two base sections end to end and connect them with the U clips provided, fitted across the centre seam. This locks the two halves together to form one solid base. Single beds arrive as one complete section, so this step can be skipped.

Attach the gas lift struts
With the base sections joined, fix the gas lift struts between the base and the lid at the marked hinge points, tightening the nuts with a 13 mm spanner or socket. Ensure both struts are attached at the same point on each side so the lid lifts evenly.
Secure the lid with the locking bolt
On two-section bases the lid is also supplied in two halves. The joining hole is marked with a sticker, with a corresponding nut fitted on the opposite side. Align the two lid sections and hand-tighten the star knob bolt until snug — no tools required. On single bases the lid is one piece, so this step can be skipped.
Please note: the lid will stay upright by itself until the mattress is placed on top.

Attach the headboard
Follow whichever option matches the headboard included with your order.
24-inch strutted headboard
Line up the headboard struts with the fittings at the head end of the base so the headboard sits above the mattress line. Secure the bolts and screws with a screwdriver, checking the headboard is level before fully tightening.
54-inch floor-standing headboard
Position the headboard so its legs rest flat on the floor at the head end, independent of the mattress height. Bolt the legs to the base fittings with a screwdriver, checking the headboard is upright and level before fully tightening.
Attach the footboard
IF A FOOTBOARD IS INCLUDEDThe mounting brackets are supplied already fitted to the base at the foot end. Line up the 12-inch or 20-inch footboard with the pre-fitted brackets and lock it securely into place.
Final check
Re-tighten all bolts, U clips and screws. Open and close the lid to confirm it moves smoothly, then add your mattress. The lid will remain upright by itself once fully assembled, and will only lower once the mattress adds sufficient weight.
